About!

Hi! My name is Ari Collins, and I’m a junior journalism student at Kent State University with a passion for political reporting and investigative storytelling. My work often explores the intersections between politics, culture, and identity — especially the hidden power structures that shape the varying industries we interact with every day.
As I turn my lens toward the fashion world, I aim to uncover the politics woven into the fabric and trends: from the ethics of material sourcing and sustainability practices to the influence of major designers and brands. Viewing these issues through the eyes of a young, queer woman, I strive to question what truly is sustainable, who benefits from current fashion systems, and how creative expression can coexist with accountability.
