artists/art fans/real people
In the process of making this project, I was able to interview so many amazing people about their experiences within the arts. I’m not able to incorporate every interview into a video or a podcast or a graphic, but they all are equally important. That’s why I have this *ever changing* page. Updated Dec. 2024**
Andrea Jackson
Andrea Jackson is a Toledo artist from the Old West End. She is a student at University of Toledo and a three-time YAAW alum (2022-2024). She has worked on many team public art projects including a mural installation at the Toledo Spain Plaza on Monroe St., the Beirut mural and a mural at the Farmers Market downtown. She also loves music and live theatre.

Parker King
Parker King is a Northwest Ohio artist and writer. He is a one-time YAAW alum (2024) and worked on a collaborative quilted map. The map was an interactive project for the community and was displayed at multiple public events including Art Loop and Momentum. In addition to this, his personal work examines the relationships between past and present social attitudes in media and society.

Natalie Gray
Natalie Gray, TSA and UT grad, is the Director of Youth Services at The Arts Commission in Toledo, Ohio. In addition to her work at The Arts Commission, she works with other organizations, including Issue Box Theatre and Toledo Streets Newspaper, to help increase access to art in the community.

Olivia Anderson
Olivia Anderson is a true Toledo fan. They graduated from Toledo School for the Arts and went on to study Fine Art and Art History at Ohio Wesleyan University. Now back in Toledo, she works with varying organizations–including the Arts Commission, Young Artists at Work, Issue Box Theatre and others–to help advocate for community.
